Fourteen banking foundations, the University of Gastronomic Sciences and Coldiretti have created the ‘Filiera Futura’ (Future Supply Chain) association, with the aim of encouraging the transformation of the Italian agri-food sector.
Filiera Futura proposes an ethical approach to agri-food production and distribution, enhancing the needs and well-being of producers, local communities and consumers. Filiera Futura also considers economic, environmental and social sustainability as a driving force for development.
“Agri-food production – says Carlo Petrini, founder of Slow Food – is the paradigm of a new economy aimed at the recovery of sociality and traditions. It is also essential to ensure the protection of the territories and promote environmental sustainability“.
