The 2020 edition of the ‘Italian Food and Wine Tourism Report’, edited by the World Food Travel Association and the Italian Food and Wine Tourism Association, shows the growth of wine and food tourism (71% of traveler look for food and wine experiences), and Italy is at the top in Europe for this segment.
This kind of tourists look for emotional and cultural experiences offered by Italy and Italian food and wine. A sort of journey through music festival, street food, restaurants, cellars and vineyards. Gorgonzola, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pizza and, obviously, wine are the most desired products by international tourists.
