Marilisa Allegrini, the female icon of Amarone della Valpolicella, was named Cavaliere del Lavoro (Knight of Labour) by the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella.
In the last 40 years Marilisa has been constantly committed to spreading the Italian wine culture in the world, expanding the company’s production to some of the most important Italian wines, such as Bolgheri and Brunello di Montalcino.
“I’m really proud as a woman and entrepreneur in the wine sector, and comes at a very difficult time for the economy and life of our country. I hope this award represents a sign of hope and redemption that we all feel the need for.” said Lady Allegrini.
